Professional Development

There is a new self-asessment tool for teachers and gifted coordinators based on the NAGC Pre-K-Grade 12 Gifted Programming Standards. The guide was created by the NAGC Standards Committee and is available in the bookstore.  It includes an examination of current practice and a way to chart steps to improvement.

Professional Awards

NAGC and the NAGC Networks give several awards each year honoring those in and out of gifted who have made significant advances for high-ability learners.  NAGC award nominations take place January –May 4.  Networks awards run on various schedules. Take a look at both NAGC and the Networks awards programs and consider nominating a colleague or yourself.
